We Came in Peace? has been chosen for publication on 365tomorrows.com! 365 Tomorrows is a popular science-fiction online publication that's dedicated to producing new fiction every day, both internally written and also from select submissions. All their stories are under 600 words, making science fiction both accessible to the common reader, and quick to read.

The winners for Writers of the Future Q3 2020 were announced, and as it happens, I won a Silver Honorable Mention! This is an incredibly high honor for me, and I'm grateful to have been considered. Up to this point, it's been somewhat hard to consider myself an actual author, and this has been a big factor in helping me get past that mental road block.
If you're interested, please go read it! It was one of the more fun ones that I've written, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it! I'm very happy to announce that for the next two months (from June 8 to August 8), I will be donating all proceeds from The Alpine Insurrection to Ferst Readers. Ferst Readers is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting literacy, primarily in low-income communities. They do this by enrolling children in a book giveaway program that mails them age-appropriate, bookstore-quality books every month until they reach their fifth birthday.
There are many, many children that grow up without the resources and opportunities to succeed academically, and Ferst Readers is very effective in breaking this cycle. Their program has proven results that show increased literacy, increased test scores, and increased success rates for students that are enrolled. And, importantly, they are dedicated to transparency, so you know where your donated money is going. Spoiler alert, almost all of it goes back into the communities where it came from. I encourage you to check out more about their program and what they believe in here: https://ferstreaders.org/about-us/program-overview and to pick up a new summer reading book today!
Yesterday, the official certificate for Alpine Insurrection's copyright came in the mail from the Library of Congress! One step closer to publication. Within the next few months, you can expect to see it start appearing on Amazon for Kindle and direct printing.
As a side note, the sequel is still going through some personal edits, but most of my effort is focused on the first book right now. Thank you for your patience! Editing complete for The Alpine Insurrection! On the lookout for an agent now. Stay tuned for updates.
I'm finishing up some last minute edits for the first short story you'll see here. Teaser: the title of it will be called The Silent Majority. If you like science fiction, VR, and good old fashioned plot twists, you'll like this one. It'll be free for download, and the first of many shorts I plan to make available. |
